(Reno, NV) — The Lahontan Reservoir is now under a harmful algae bloom warning advisory. Nevada State Parks says it was upgraded from a watch advisory to a warning advisory on Tuesday. That means the condition of the reservoir is getting worse. Officials conducted visual and satellite imagery assessments and say there is an increase in Cyanobacteria. The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection is actively testing the water.
