The Reno City Council approved two Ordinance Introductions and referred them both for a second reading and adoption. The first is a change to city code called “System Of Dockless Bicycles, Electric Bicycles, and/or Electric Scooters within City limits.” This Ordinance Introduction puts into place local regulations that prohibit companies from providing dockless bicycle, electric bicycle and/or electric scooter share services , without the explicit agreement of the City of Reno. The second ordinance and applies bicycle laws to electric scooters unless otherwise permitted.
